Interim Chief James E. Mason

James E. Mason, Interim Chief of Police is a 20 year veteran in the field of law enforcement.  He has also been with the Tutwiler Police Department for 4 years.

He has served in many capacities in law enforcement.  While serving with the Memphis Police Department, Mason graduated from the Police Rider Academy.  Later he worked as a Police motorcycle rider for the Tunica police department for 5 years where he reached the rank of Sergeant.   Chief Mason was also a Security Specialist in the United States Air force.

The Tutwiler Police Department provides law enforcement services to the citizens of the great town Tutwiler, Mississippi. Rich in heritage, the Town of Tutwiler covers approximately 3,534 citizens.  There are staffing positions for 9 sworn officers.  The Tutwiler Police Department (TPD) appreciates your interest and hope you find the information on our website useful.
